A bodybuilding show prep can often take everything out of you, taking your body to limits it never knew possible, and all for one day (or 6 in my case last year 😂), or realistically just a few minutes on stage.
Early mornings, late nights, pushing through when you’re flat, exhausted, hungry, irritable, emotional…the list goes on.
The reality is, most people will never understand how much goes into that one moment.
Day in, day out…doing the things you don’t feel like doing… just for the chance to step on stage and showcase it all.
And that’s exactly why it means so much.
Extremely grateful to the IBFA for allowing us competitors to perform an extended routine – nice touch that, especially after so much time and effort goes into it.
Even more blessed to have taken both classes and the overall at this show 🏆
But it’s never a solo effort.
Josh
@coachjmchale was at the helm throughout, as he is now, Joey
@joeyfarrell_ifbbpro pulled the routine together and helped teach this old dog a new trick, and Leica
@mike_leica_gelsei pushed me weekly in the gym, not to mention helped finesse my posing.
But the work, the graft? That part’s on you.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way – you’ve got to love the process, not just the stage 💪
Big thanks to
@ibfa_uk @ibfa_mr_and_miss_rhondda_2025 and
@acbphysiquephotography for the memories. 💙
