The Norla Dome is a unique heritage-listed venue, originally a gymnasium for seafarers. 🙏🙏🙏 Truly a massive thank-you to all the people who caught the live set on Friday evening! It's been over 5 years since I've played and tackling a dawless setup was nerve wracking but very rewarding. Seeing so many familiar faces topped it off! A massive shout out to @___h_e_k_t_o_r___ who I had the pleasure of organising the night with. Not only that, but a huge thank you for approaching me on the proposition of running the night even in my highly inactive period. The timing was right and so awesome to have done that together ✌️ Thank-you @ninaprince0 @robbieberkenbos @mylesmac__ and @djpossum_ each of you kept the bodies in the room and massaged the subs in all the right zones! Hektor & Planete present a special evening of live electronic music and DJs, Friday Oct 25 at @angelmusicbar Featuring: @planete_ (live) @___h_e_k_t_o_r___ (live) @mylesmac__ & @djpossum_ @ninaprince0 @robbieberkenbos Tickets are limited, available via link in bio 🙂 Poster design and motion by @laviniapuccetti , music @planete_ Opening the night is Nina Prince, a local DJ known for her deep and dubby sets filled with pulsating, atmospheric baselines and intricate tech textures. Hektor, the Naarm based producer, will be bringing his live set down, packed with shadowy electronics and artful production. Expect a club focused live performance, curated for Angel’s outstanding Funktion-One sound system. Planète explores the irregular pulses of broken rhythms whilst maintaining introspective colour. His return to the live setting showcases contemplative sonic descriptions bridging found sound textures and clinical club music forming a world of his own. Pulled-in by the enigmatic, Rob-b’s sound revolves around a minimal essence. By taking in sounds from both the Netherlands and Melbourne he’s developing a deeper yet diverse palate in both his sets and productions inviting the listener into a realm where mystical meets mechanical. Closing out the evening is a special b2b from DJ Possum & Myles Mac. Freshly returned from tour, playing shows at iconic venues across Europe and the US, the duo will keep the d-floor locked with their signature globe spanning burners, resurrected from 90s & early 00s house and rave scenes. This event is being held on stolen land. We’d like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, and pay respect to their Elders past, present, and emerging.
