“𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐣𝐞 𝐍𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐤 is the sound-based collaborative project of Dylan Marelić and Grzegorz Dalmata. The duo embraces the tension between openness and uncertainty, structure and folly.
Their practice is process-driven and rooted in collagic methodologies. Working with DIY electro-acoustic instruments, field recordings, modular and analog synthesisers, and speech, 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐣𝐞 𝐍𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐤 constructs improvisational sonic wanderings that resist fixed meaning. Their compositions explore the relationship between noise and signal, often dissolving into drones, rhythms, and textures that conjure imagery of hypothetical landscapes.”

All tracks written and recorded by Dylan Marelić and Grzegorz Dalmata.

Enclosures is a body of work that tows the line between functional and sculptural audio technology. Through these works Charlie and dylan explore physical and symbolic capabilities of discarded HiFi equipment, interrogating the sonic qualities of found and salvaged materials. Each sculpture is a speaker and/or amplifier—functioning objects that exist between ruin and intervention, hi-fi and lo-fi, design and debris.
Working with cast concrete, reclaimed stone, foam offcuts, fallen timber, and the remnants of consumer audio technology, these pieces challenge the visual expectations of sound equipment. Speakers are assembled from foam, towels, logs, boxboard and scrap metal—improvised structures that echo histories of use, decay, and reassembly. #melbournedesignweek

Public Rumination, opens this week at BLINDSIDE G2
w/ Dylan Marelić ✨
Public Rumination is an installation of a regurgitation of wasted materials. Situated within the Gallery, these scavenged materials converge to take part in a precarious assembly of tree limbs, media technology and construction waste. Screens littered throughout act as portals into a 3D environment, virtual renderings of a flooded trash heap bubbling at the surface. Speakers ring, proliferating a generative soundscape composed of field recordings and resynthesized “organic” sounds. Motorised branches twitch sporadically in response to audio stimuli from the installation space creating a perceptual feedback loop within the installation.
Opening event Thursday 29th August from 6-8pm 🥂
