Friends near Beacon, NY! Stop by the Beacon Art Book fair today and check out the work of Jennifer Lauren Smith (LTP 2025-26). ✨✨ ・・・ I’ll be at the Beacon Art Book fair tomorrow with a freshly editioned and newly improved stack of Weeping Beech Baby I made while in residence @interluderesidency last month, along with other publication projects I’m exploring in the context of @photobookprogram @penumbrafoundation . Many, many thanks to the mightily generous @emmamcdonaldphotography and @beaconphotoclub for organizing this fair! I’ll be sharing table 6 with Greg Slick @gslickart and the VFW Hall (413 Main St) with many wonderful, talented artists. Come visit and bring your $$ to support hand-made books and zines! Thank you @highlandscurrent for covering the fair and featuring my work in this week’s paper. The event runs 11-4 Saturday, May 16. #beaconartbookfair

Andrew Zawacki (LTP 2024) is teaching Poetry + Photography, a 4-week online course that guides participants through the process of writing poems and making pictures in tandem. Not to be missed! ・・・ Are you a photographer looking to expand your work by pairing your images with poetry? Are you a poet seeking to fold photography into your literary practice? Designed to elaborate (and disrupt) students’ primary artistic mode by adding in a complementary artform, Poetry + Photography with Andrew Zawacki (@f11andrewzawacki ) is a 4-week course that guides participants through the process of writing poems and making pictures in tandem. Each session introduces compelling projects that braid poetry and photography, followed by a workshop in which students share and discuss their experiments. Weekly readings and assignments will encourage inspiration and creative inquiry between classes. This course is designed for novice to intermediate practitioners, ideally those who already practice photography or poetry writing. The sessions foster a supportive, exploratory environment meant to enrich each participant’s facility with generating and joining pictures and poems. Saturdays, June 6 - 27 | 10am-12pm ET Learn more at the link in @penumbrafoundation bio.

Dear friends in France, visit Tina Masoumi’s, LTP 2025, exhibition in Paris, opening soon! ✨ @tinaamasoumi ✨ ・・・
A Home Made of Us ».

The fabulous George Weld, LTP 2025, is teaching DEVELOPING WRITING FOR PHOTO PROJECTS virtually on Thursdays May - June 2026. Don’t sleep on this opportunity! ・・・ 📝 Integrating writing into a photo project presents unique challenges—how do images and text relate to one another? What is the most effective way to present them together? And most importantly, how can photographers elevate their writing to match the strength of their photographs? Developing Writing for Photo Projects with @GeorgeWeld is a 6-week online class designed to help photographers develop their image-text work by focusing on language as a material and examining how it functions on its own and in combination with images. Through workshops, guided readings, and discussions, students will produce an image-text zine or chapbook, using new work or a project they’ve been developing. Suitable for photographers at any stage of their project, this course supports a range of writing styles, from research-based nonfiction to lyrical prose. Those working on focused, book-oriented projects will find it especially rewarding. Thursdays, May 7 - June 11 | 6-8pm Seats will fill quickly–tap the link in profile to register.
