As we approach the winter solstice, I think back to a sunny visit from my friend and Poet, Jonny. Light and dark; good times and bad - its hard to truly appreciate one without the other.

I’m really happy to officially announce that I’ve been shortlisted for the @bjp1854 Portrait of Britain with the image of Orrin, shot in Birthadir, North Wales earlier this year.
The image is taken as part of a new project rediscovering Wales. At the start of 2025 I went on a trip to Wales with Orrin and Rachel, Both photographers/artists I was born here but moved away when I was very young so I’ve always felt a disconnect - being from a place but never really living there has a strange effect on identity. I’ve never really felt Welsh, nor have I felt English, and so between the two it creates a sense of Limbo. This trip was an attempt to explore these feelings in more depth.
This image will be featured in Portrait of Britain Vol. 8 photobook, Published by @bluecoatpress and sponsored by @jcdecaux_uk and presented by @wepresent , its great achievement, and I feel really grateful to be a part of it.
