🟡 Happy to share some insides into “Müll. Eine Ausstellung über die globalen Wege des Abfalls” (“Waste. Art and the Global Routes of Rubbish”) which has been running for over a month now – on view until July 26 at
@museumostwall /
@dortmunderu .
🟡 Sustainability isn’t just the subject here, it’s part of the scenography itself: Materials, constructions, and display formats have all been chosen so they can be reused. Instead of conventional wall labels, scenographic text modules are mounted on foam carriers – made from the very same foam used in a previous exhibition at Museum Ostwall. The wall texts are printed on garbage bags – which will be reused in once the exhibition closes.
🟡 In the Klimabündnis Dortmund section, this idea continues: scaffolding and gridboxes serve as temporary exhibition architecture. Once the show ends, they’ll be dismantled and reused.
This way, the exhibition’s theme is consistently reflected in the materials and construction itself.
