BIG MOUTH
Comedy Club for BB13
x
Art projects are almost never created alone, and yet, it’s rare that everyone involved gets credited in the final publication. So, I’m naming everyone who helped me over the past few months—besides the BB13 team, the technicians, production menagers, curator Zasha Colah and co-curator Valentina Viviani to create a comedy club and perform in a place where I actually worked for 2 years as an art guard.
Thanks to the Cerin-Antonić Collection and
@eastcontemporary for their trust in my work and for supporting its production; to
@adrianatranca , for her selfless help and advices during the conceptualization of the project. She’s the one who introduced me to Leo Zylberberg
@l.zylberberg , with whom I collaborated on the sound piece created for Big Mouth—which I absolutely love!
Thanks to
@halunke.comedy.salon for hosting my work-in-progress every week for the past two months—and for signing a contract with me to lose money together. Still, they became like family, giving me stage time to develop the main piece for BB13: a 45-minute stand-up comedy set.
Thanks to
@amirsilajdzic for his incredible craftsmanship in producing the neon signs; to
@miriyummyumm , who saved my ass by repairing, mounting, and making them shine on the wall; to
@nikola.kekerovic , for being my moral support, endless art talks, sketches, carving tables and chairs with me, and helping with the neons too; to my brother and Marko Dinic, for organizing the transport of the neon pieces; and to
@tomstrisselcomedy , for listening to all my rants and shepherding me to Vienna and back.
And last but not least, to the comedians who supported me—offering advice, notes, and encouragement. Some of them you’ll get to see in the next three months:
@deolegotoy ,
@mayacomedian @carmenita01 @victorpatrascan @sankldive @tamerkat
Dates of the stand up comedy and RSVPs can be found on the
