REBEL REBEL wasn’t just a performance — it was an immersive, electric celebration of the one and only David Bowie. A bold tribute capturing his spirit, legacy, and fearless, genre-defying brilliance. Both Brooke and Tyrone own and Creatively Direct their own Independent Contemporary Dance Companies and today both Brooke and Tyrone were nominated for over 13 Awards including Most Outstanding Choreography and Most Outstanding Performer Awards! Brooke Leeder is the Director of her Company ‘Brooke Leeder and Dancers’ her latest work NOCTURNAL was nominated for over 10 awards 🙌🏽😱 Tyrone Robinson is the Director of his INDEPENDENT CONTEMPORARY Dance Company @offbasedance and he too was nominated for a large number of Awards! While we’re on the topic of Home, I just had the most spontaneous visit back home which was filled with lush dancing and reconnecting with the Perth community I was a part of before flying off to London almost 3 years ago. My heart was bursting with pride, admiration and joy to see the growth, richness and support that these dancers have fostered in the community under the challenging climate the arts have been existing in. What a privilege to participate in and teach class for @enneagonmovement who are providing Perth dancers the space to practice and grow and to watch the premiere of 2 amazing works by my best buds at @offbasedance who have been working their butts off to get work up over the past 5 years Heart is overwhelmed and soul is inspired.
