TONIGHT! It’s our last night at Moana as a duo (next week is the bluegrass trio with @emilygelineau and @luca__gatti_ )
In other news: the Ellington bathrooms remain the best place for selfies in town.
Here’s us after the sold out Sunday Risqué Cabaret concert attempting to look dashing. Swipe to see the reality.
Tickets in stories and comments!
✨G&T DUO✨
This is a great tune by Mose Allison ‘Your Mind Is on Vacation’ from 1976, and honestly, it seems so relevant today.
Please enjoy.
If you want to see it live you have three chances left to catch us before Euro 2026 tour season starts in May! Check stories and bio for our remaining gigs together!

Happy birthday to one of the all time greatest people I’ve had the privilege of knowing in this world. You bring more joy to me and others than you will ever know and I’m incredibly proud of the woman and mother you’ve become. Here’s to many more years of dress ups, harmonies, laughs and delicious wine. Love you xxx
Back to our usual nonsense.
Here’s a song from 1931 recording by Harry Roy and his Orchestra. What a lovely little foxtrot.
Unlike a lot of the dirty jazz songs you might hear that are AI generated, this one really comes from the 1930s and is a hilarious (innocent) little song about a cat.
You can hear us performing it tonight at @moanahall_perth or April 19th as part of Risqué Cabaret at the Ellington!

Just in case you didn’t know this already: this song is Jessie’s theme song. Life advice worth taking and a bangin’ tune from 1963 originally performed by Leslie Gore.
This is a killer song to do live. It’s got a great, memorable hook (the first line!), it has amazing backing vocal parts, more key changes than you can poke a stick at to keep things exciting and a chorus that happens FIVE TIMES.
But here on the internet we keep things snappy for you, so here’s the opening verse and a light smattering of two choruses to keep you engaged for a little over a minute.
What song shall we do next?
