Thank you all for joining me and The Devil last night. There was such a gorgeous joy and lightheartedness on stage and in the audience. You all looked SO HAPPY! It was such a cool vibe! Hello friends! Just a quick update on my album progress! I am really enjoying writing and recording this new album with Matt Gio. We have been taking necessary time to ensure we really deliver something brilliant. I had felt a bit of a block in 2025 and funnily enough it was reuniting with my old blues band “The Devil & Abbe May” that really unblocked me creatively. Gio and I are making a record that is very much a highly produced studio album. I love bringing ideas to Gio and seeing where we go together, but I realised when working with The Devil that I have missed the more raw and unproduced side of my creativity which naturally comes out with that band. I realised...I WANT BOTH .. I NEED BOTH!! oh my...I have to make two albums! I need both processes. I need the more polished and produced album making with Gio and I need the more raw and untethered music making with The Devil. I need to do both concurrently as both processes unlock each other and employ and unleash my full creative capacity. So, I am now writing and recording TWO albums. Obviously, this makes things a bit more expensive! But I know that authenticity in creativity always finds a way! Especially with supporters like you. Thank you for your unwavering kindness and support via these donations, your attendance at my ticketed shows and of course, your purchasing of my merch! You may labour under the misapprehension that I just make jokes about everything all the time, but I assure you I am sometimes very serious. Here’s a photo of me being very serious indeed while with my friend Kram at a wedding a little while ago. So, you see? Proof I can be serious, even reverent sometimes.
