On the release of “Music for Pulse Meridian Foliation,” out now on @dragcityrecords ! Joshua originally created this music as a 4 channel installation to accompany Lisa Alvarado’s Pulse Meridian Foliation exhibition at REDCAT in downtown Los Angeles. Written for two violas, harmonium & electronics it was designed to play on a loop throughout the gallery’s open hours between April 1 and August 20, 2023.

Congrats to the band Tin (@aoblack4@katieernstmusic@mattgoldmusic ) on the release of “A Grounded Cloud,” out now!
I did sound for this lovely band outside the Hideout a few years ago and was so into it I practically begged them to let me record them.
Dustin did a fantastic job with the recordings and I was stoked when they asked me to mix it. And Justin Perkins nailed it on the first version of the master. I hope you find it as lovely as I do.

My friends @ben_babbitt_ and @a.lag.xander lost their father Frank tragically and too soon a couple years ago. A memorial celebration was being planned and Ben asked me to record the performances that day, featuring members of the Lyric Opera Orchestra performing some of Frank’s favorite pieces, and this beautiful piece that Ben wrote for his father. It was a very powerful and emotional day and an amazing tribute.
