Photos of my band's show at @barzakh.cafe a few weeks ago - beautifully shot on film by @heyseemal.This was a very rewarding one for me. It was great to reconnect with friends and to hear some new voices in my music (ones that I had been hoping to hear for a while!).

Got to hang and make music with my friend and teacher @bugaluspiritualdrumming today. He’s going through a rough cancer treatment at the moment. I was happy to see that he is staying positive and of course is playing his ass off, but it’s def a challenging time for him.Hit him up if you’re a friend or student (send me a message if you need his contact info).@groove_md (Ethan Kogan) has created an Amazon Registry for sending him some gifts- reach out to Ethan for more info on that.Bugalu also has gigs as a leader coming up in May with an amazing band: @ornithologyjazzclub on 5/7 and @nyc_close_up on 5/25.Lots of love to Bugalu!

Peter Manheim Quartet: 3/10/26 : @n.doan_Peter Manheim is a fellow Obie, graduating from the Oberlin Jazz Conservatory, along with two bandmates whom he played with that night, Alex Cummings (sax), and Dan Stein (bass). He was also joined by Dan Pierson (keys) and the great Jamey Haddad (Percussion).His return to Oberlin was to celebrate Manheim’s album release of, “Early Waves”, available on all streaming Platforms.
