so grateful for the opportunity to share influences behind themes for dreams and to spend time listening together at @rebuild_foundation . there was so much focus, presence, and intention being cultivated in the room, it was really a deeply moving experience, as i’ve found all of the programming at the land school to facilitate. love, respect, and gratitude to @theastergates and the team @rebuild_foundation for curating such a beautiful space for community, art, togetherness, and discourse, and for welcoming me in to present music in this way.
Saturday, March 21, 2 PM - 5 PM | We invite you to join us at The Land School for a special iteration of Listening Hours as we welcome Will Miller of Resavoir for an intimate listening session and conversation about their newest album, Themes for Dreams, released March 12. Miller will offer a glimpse into some of the records that inspired his latest project, taking us into his process one track at a time.
Chicago-born composer, producer, and jazz trumpeter Miller is known for Resavoir’s lush orchestration, emotional clarity, and genre-blurring sound. His work spans acclaimed LPs, collaborations with artists like SZA and Justin Bieber, and performances that range from full orchestras to intimate solo sets.
Themes for Dreams marks a new turn: a meditative album built from immersive melodies that drift and linger across 13 beautifully cohesive tracks. Inspired by ambient classics like Hiroshi Yoshimura’s Green, the record is Miller’s most sparse, diaristic, and personal work to date.

somehow the stars aligned perfectly for this to work out the way it did- low wind, partly cloudy, not too hot, and with enough time for mei and her band to enjoy a nice chill morning at the beach the day after their (excellent and sold out) chicago show before driving up to milwaukee. was so fun to get to finally perform this song together with matt, mei, noah and claudius! dylan and paul captured it perfectly, and crystal’s titles were the icing on the cake. was such a pleasure putting together this shoot and now we have this dope video that will live forever- full “diversey beach” live video streaming via the link in bio!
