🔥 PREMIERE | DELTAS by Nahuel Cano The season is coming to an end but not before a new world premiere: DELTAS by @nahuelcano2 at Spring Performing Arts Festival (Utrecht). 📍Tue 19 May 2026 at 19:00 📍Wed 20 May 2026 at 21:00 Get your tickets now! Link in bio ☝ Deltas is an interdisciplinary music theatre performance by composer and performance maker Nahuel Cano in collaboration with Modelo62 and filmmaker Juan Fernández Gebauer.  @88888888.jfg The work combines live music, film and storytelling to connect personal and ecological losses through the lens of grief while following the course of two rivers: the Paraná in Argentina and the Rhine, in the Netherlands. These rivers are among the most heavily engineered and degraded ecosystems in their regions. They have been reshaped by centuries of extraction, trade, and management, turning wetlands into profit.  Performers: Reinier van Houdt (piano), Vasilis Stefanopoulos (double bass), Ezequiel Menalled (electric guitar), Mart Nooijen (vocals), Nahuel Cano (electronics  & vocals), Akane Takada (piano). We can't wait to share this new piece with you all! 😊 Deltas is a co-production between Spring Performing Arts Festival, Gaudeamus and Modelo62. The research and development of this project was supported by Gemeente Utrecht, and Provincie Utrecht. @springutrecht @gaudeamusnl @gemeenteutrecht

For those who want to immerse more into current development of locally based artists. We recommend to visit our festival from May 20 til May 23, because you will be able to see new creations of makers from Utrecht and The Netherlands. We have listed them for you in this post. 1. Deltas - Nahuel Cano: In this music theatre performance, Nahuel Cano connects personal grief with the fragility of our planet. 2. Do not go gentle into that good night - Dries Verhoeven: With this intervention, Dries Verhoeven examines the aesthetics of resistance. 3. The Meeting - Maarten Heijnens: This is a performative installation that explores how we experience closeness and distance. 4. No Man’s Land - alaa minawi: No Man’s Land is a powerful response to today’s reality. It is a plea to seek out the spaces where a new future can emerge, especially when the present feels broken. 5. Klei - Schweigman& i.c.w. Zoro Feigl & HIIIT: Klei is a sensory search for the primal connection between human and earth, in all its beauty, struggle, and wonder. 6. The Bench (by accident) - ashleyho+domenikaue: This performance is not about arriving. It is about what can be found when you get lost, completely. 7. The quiet - Anthony van Gog: What happens when a body is no longer required to perform, but simply allowed to be? Not a conventional performance, but a quiet, sensory experience of the body in its purest form. The Bench (by accident) is a part of AECFest, a multidisciplinary public arts festival that alternates annually between Asia and Europe. In 2026, it will be presented as a festival-in-a-festival within SPRING, taking place from May 14 to 23. This edition marks the third consecutive year that AECFest is hosted within a major international festival platform, following editions in Italy (2024) and China (2025). The Asia-Europe Cultural Festival (#aecfest2026) is organized by @asiaeuropefoundation with the financial support of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. @culture360_asef @asiaeuropefoundation #springutrecht #springperformingartsfestival #performingartsfestival #uitagendautrecht

Nahuel Cano is an Argentine artist who works with performance, music and video. He previously completed a research programme at Residenties in Utrecht and presented “Ways to listen to a river” at both Gaudeamus and SPRING. Both are following a tailor-made programme focused on research and development. The programme is funded by the Province of Utrecht. Nahuel will premiere during SPRING. Annabel's work will premiere in September during Gaudeamus Festival. -- Terugblik op SPRING x Gaudeamus: Meet the Residents Op 3 december heb je kennis kunnen maken met twee makers: Annabel Schouten en Nahuel Cano. Coming back with WAYS TO LISTEN TO A RIVER Within Sound or Not Festival ✨ Presented by and with @ensemblemodelo62 🗓️12th December. 📍Paleiskerk, Den Haag. Ways to Listen to a River embraces ecological grief, it’s an attempt to understand and exorcize this grief by listening to the whispers of a history of colonization and violence from a present on the verge of collapse. For this work Argentine artist Nahuel Cano researched the history and meanings of rivers: the Limay and Salado in Argentina and the Vecht in the Netherlands. He translated the research into poems and music, which he performs in collaboration with filmmaker Juan Fernández Gebauer and ensemble Modelo62.

📍 SAVE THE DATE!! 12th, 13th and 14th December. 🔥 Modelo62 presents: SOUND or NOT Festival "Performance for instruments, human bodies, electronics and all the other things that may make sounds.” The year draws to a close, and we have many things to celebrate: we're delighted to invite you to the inaugural edition of the Sound or Not Festival. Sound or Not is a festival organised and curated by Modelo62. Following the spirit from Mieko Shiomi's text score piece “Boundary Music” (1963), this festival of three days features performances that test, blur, and playfully transgress the boundaries of what music can be. Across these days you'll encounter music-theater, works from the wide canon of experimental music, and interdisciplinary pieces resulting from our collaborations with diverse makers. We will end the festival with a performance for children and families, where our youngest audience members will explore the universe of sounds and make music alongside the ensemble. You are warmly invited to spend these three days at the boundary with us, to explore the threshold between sound and non-sound, between music and everything else. 📍 Save the dates: 12th, 13th and 14th December. Paleiskerk. Den Haag. You can check the full program and get the tickets now through our website or the link in our bio. More info coming soon!!
