A throwback to the very first Twoubadou Night at Café Erzulie 🇭🇹✨ We took over jazz night and turned it into a celebration of Caribbean rhythm - A journey into Twoubadou. This genre emerged from Haitian laborers in Cuba who were influenced by the local guajiro music style. Crossing borders, these melodies made their way back home, blending with Haitian méringue to create the Twoubadou sound we know today. Hosted & Organized by @mehkinmoves & @frankxter_ _ the night featured unforgettable performances by @lotjannyc and @rasinokan , bringing that history to life in Brooklyn and reminding us how culture continues to move and evolve. 🎶 Stay connected for the next one. 💛

After weeks of hibernation, @byblakawout and I finally ventured out to the @soulsoireeco Monologue Slam! It’s been incredible seeing this event grow and flourish, with the talent leveling up every time. It’s so important to support actors of color and creating safe spaces where their talent can shine and be recognized. Looking back at a summer filled with inspiration, creativity, and empowerment! . 🌸 At @envsnfest , I truly felt the power of community in its purest form. It was incredible to see multiple generations come together, connect, and be celebrated in such a meaningful way. Being surrounded by so much passion and purpose, reignited my own drive and reminded me why I do what I do. Hearing from amazing women who’ve turned their creative dreams into thriving businesses was exactly the push I needed to keep evolving and betting on myself. We had the honor of bringing @mervnide vision to life for the first part of the FYI series on Cycle Syncing in collaboration with @studiosbysk_ and @verduredesignerflorist The @mbodywell workshop focused on cycle syncing and featured insights and activities designed to help women manage their cycles effectively such as Somatic Movement meditation led by @itssydneynoelle and yoga flow led by @breaniasmith A big thank you to @drinktru and @goodmoodkombucha for keeping us energized and hydrated throughout the day! We had a time! 🥳
