Four years ago, on the campus of Howard University, I created this event called “Sister Act,” a talent showcase that uplifts and empowers Black women in the arts. Shortly after, it became an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Chapter staple program. Four years later, I was invited back to speak at the event. Thank you Alpha Chapter for inviting me back home.
