Every project is nuanced - especially at scale. At Victoria Tower, the challenge was to deliver an efficient foundation system for a 37-storey tower while minimising deep excavation and maintaining program certainty.
After testing multiple options, the team adopted large-diameter single piles directly beneath the tower columns, reducing substructure complexity and avoiding the need for extensive excavation.
The outcome: a faster construction program, smaller pile caps, and a more efficient build overall. For high-stakes projects, these decisions protect the program, reduce risk, and enhance project viability.

Completed in September 2025, Victoria Tower now stands proudly in the Adelaide skyline, a testament to the vision and effort invested at every stage of the project.
Reaching a height of 119.51m, the tower has secured its place as the fourth-tallest building in the CBD. Its bold form is now visible from all corners of the city, fast becoming a recognisable landmark and a defining element of Adelaide’s changing urban fabric.
