The refurbishment of the @mayfairhoteladelaide_ has reached an important milestone in the super quick approval of the porte cochere Development Application via City of Adelaide.
The porte cochere will provide an improved, inviting and suitable presentation to both Gilbert Place and King William Street, whilst retaining the impressive heritage qualities of the building.
CA are proudly leading the refurbishment of this Adelaide landmark hotel as Ark Capital Partners’ client-side project managers. Stay tuned to the new life coming soon for The Mayfair.

Working with @constructionassignments and @mostaghimandassociates Architects, a Development Application has been submitted to reposition this historic guesthouse and golf course. The proposal focuses on enhancing accommodation and guest amenities while respecting the site’s heritage.
Guided by a comprehensive Conservation Management Plan, the 72-room hotel will be reconfigured to include new lodges, upgraded conference facilities, and a swimming pool, complementing the existing homestead and landscaped grounds.
A considered, heritage-led upgrade that will deliver tangible improvements for guests, the operator, and the region.
We’re thrilled to announce that Craigieburn Hotel, operated by Peppers Resorts, in the Southern Highlands is set for a major revitalisation.
The property has a long-standing history as a guesthouse and hotel and a beautifully landscaped golf course with gardens and tennis court. Informed by a detailed Conservation Management Plan, the 72-room property will undergo a complete reconfiguration and upgrade. A swimming pool, improved conferencing and re-orientated guest rooms will complement the existing homestead cottage, while four new lodges are nestled away with expansive views of the golf course.
The Southern Highlands is a popular location for travellers from Sydney, Canberra, and further afield. Surrounded by wineries, antique stores, cafes, and nature walks, Bowral is the perfect stop over for a weekend getaway, a wedding, or a conference.
A heart-felt understanding of the properties history, it’s tightly woven role in the community, and it’s modern-day operations has informed our site masterplan and concept design. With the support of Mostaghim Architects and Erilyan Construction a considered, and sensitive, Development Application has been lodged with Wingecarribee Shire Council that will ensure this property’s success long into the future.

From tackling complex projects to keeping the team laughing during the chaotic moments, Jay has been a rock, a problem‑solver and an all‑round top human. His dedication, sharp thinking and get‑it‑done attitude have made a huge impact across everything he touches.
And this is all whilst obtaining his Bachelor of Construction Project Management (First Class Honours), currently wrapping up his Masters of Property Development and Real Estate Investment, and recently becoming a first-time dad to a beyond beautiful baby girl.

With over 30 years of experience in architecture, design management and project delivery, Peter is a passionate and accomplished leader. He is known for delivering complex, award-winning projects across residential, mixed-use, and master-planned communities.
Peter’s approach combines technical expertise with a deep commitment to collaboration, communication, and mentoring. He is well versed with end-to-end project delivery—from feasibility and concept design to construction—ensuring outcomes that resonate with communities and stakeholders alike.
Peter has an array of qualifications under his belt, including a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, Associate Diploma in Applied Science (Building) and Diploma in Building Design.
Similarly, he has a vast range of career highlights, including most recently helping manage the creation of communities for Frasers Property Australia and Lendlease, that have left a positive and lasting legacy to the built environment and its occupants.

Student Accommodation continues to see sector growth as it rebounds from the impacts of Covid, and despite government caps on international students. Adding to our experience across both education and co-living sectors, is our latest new build development, a 122-room student accommodation building with commercial and retail spaces, located at 263-279 Broadway, Glebe. CA has been hard at work the last six months managing design documentation for tender with lead consultant, SJB Architects, and a stellar team of consultants. More recently, CA conducted a far reaching EOI exercise to find the right participants for Tender. It wasn’t easy. We found ourselves at times too small for the top tier contractors, and too big for the next tier down. We positioned the development with consideration given to overall scope, build quality, our prime location, build and access complexity, and who we felt would partner well with our Client throughout the D&C build journey. CA is confident in delivering 122 unparalleled student accommodation rooms. We look forward to sharing the next project milestone, and our build partner for construction, soon.

CA is proud of our 11 years of working on @theblock with @channel9 . This year at Daylesford, VIC we built 5 magnificent new homes – a first for the show. There’s been so many ‘firsts’ with creative approaches to the show. Over the years we have converted hotels & warehouses to residences, relocated existing homes and carried out substantial conversions to make the award-winning shows. There’s also been a consistent focus on regional towns with the recent Phillip Island and Macedon Ranges locations.
Last week the Daylesford homes went to auction and what a result.
CA congratulate all involved especially our winning contestants Britt and Taz. These two not only really worked hard, but they also played fair and demonstrated consistent kindness with their fellow contestants and neighbours. Well done.
This year was particularly special as our Jess Gould and Drenka Andjelic attended the auction for the first time. Fun, anticipation, suspense and nervousness witnessed to the max.
Our biggest thanks goes to Channel 9 for their trust in CA for some 11 years and for once again putting CA to work already for 2026. Watch this space as we hit Mount Eliza and achieve amazing things all over again with the good eggs that are all things The Block.
