Project Completion | IGLU Summer Hill
IGS are pleased to announce that the Iglu Student Accommodation project located in Summer Hill is officially complete! The engineering specialists here at Integrated Group Services (IGS) carried out the Building Services Engineering Design & Watching Brief through the Construction Phase for Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, Hydraulics and ESD.
This project included 181 beds with a heritage restoration to an existing ambulance station building on site.
The project also included a 100kW solar PV array on the roof with battery storage which was configured to supplement the mains electrical supply. This helped to reduce the reliance of the new facility on the mains electrical supply and more on the onsite renewable energy sources (rooftop PV with batteries). This coupled with all the other environmentally sustainable initiatives (high performance glazing, increased wall / floor / roof insulation, electrical demand management system, energy efficient lighting and HVAC, water saving devices and rain water reuse) made this building extremely energy efficient and sustainable.
IGS worked with Iglu and Hansen Yuncken on this exciting student accommodation development, well done team and to all involved!!

Project Announcement | East Walker Street
Integrated Group Services (IGS) are currently working with @cbusproperty on the East Walker Street project located in North Sydney.
We have been carrying out the full design for Electrical, Specialist Lighting & Level 3 ASP building engineering services.
This project involves five residential buildings being demolished to make way for the development of a 3,950sqm integrated site. The $700m proposed development will be a 28-storey apartment tower comprising of 189 residences and 228 car parks.

IGS recently worked with @nie_group & @growthbuilt on a commercial project located in Surry Hills where our engineers carried out the Full Design of Electrical Services.

The specialist engineering team here at IGS are carrying out the Mechanical Services on this iconic project at the gateway of Parramatta.
This 38-storey, mixed-use development will comprise of basement carparking, ground floor retail, level 1 commercial space and 210 apartments based on the levels above.

55 Pitt St | Project Update
IGS have been working with Mirvac on the new commercial tower located at 55 Pitt Street, Sydney and are carrying out the full design for Electrical & Level 3 ASP Engineering Services.
This Premium Grade 56-storey commercial office building will comprise of approximately 70,000m2 of commercial office space, ground level speciality retail and accompanying public domain areas. This project was made extra difficult by working directly adjacent to the Ausgrid - Dalley Street Zone Substation. IGS has been working with key stakeholders from Mirvac and Ausgrid to coordinate the complex labyrinth of existing and new cable pathways in and around the new building and the zone substation. This was only achieved via the high level of professionalism and close collaboration of the entire project.
Mirvac have recently received approval for this iconic project, and we look forward to continuing work on this major development in the CBD!

IGS have been working on this re-development since 2013 with @amp_au@pierproperty & JPW and have been working on the full design for Mechanical, Electrical, Fire & Hydraulic services as well as ESD and Level 3 ASP.

PROJECT COMPLETION | The Lennox
The Lennox is complete!
IGS carried out the Engineering Building Services Design for Electrical, Mechanical, Fire, Hydraulics, WSC Coordination & Level 3 ASP.
The Level 3 ASP design on this project was incredibly difficult and took over 2 years to design and certify due to the amount of design and key stakeholder management required. IGS was also responsible for the coordination of the diversion of one of the largest sewer trunk mains in the Parramatta City LGA around the tower structure whilst maintaining undisrupted drainage connections to the retail shops along Phillip Street. And to top it all off, all this was done whilst working around one of the most important fibre connections to Australia from the rest of the world. Working around the live fibre connection of this importance level was extremely challenging but in the end it was a great result and a credit to everyone involved.
This project comprises of a 46-storey, mixed-use development with 414 apartments and including the very first automated car parking system in the country that is able to fill 374 car spaces.
