"La mer et ses vagues", a feature written & directed by Liana & Renaud, screened this year at @festivaldecannes in the ACID programme, currently getting a reprise in France: PARIS at the LOUXOR - 23rd September MARSEILLE at the BALEINE - 7th October LYON at the COMOEDIA - 7th October NANTES at the CINEMATOGRAPHE - 8th October The film is also screening at the @viffest on the 3rd & 5th of October, in case you're in Vancouver and attending the festival. More dates and fests coming. Shot on super16 at night in a light-deprived Beirut between November 2021 and January 2022, this film reconciled me with the plan visage (the close-up). “Too easy”is out today! I wrote this song by the end of the summer when i was feeling disappointed, angry and deeply lost. About 2 years ago, we filmed Taghyeer Gaw, directed by @mariam_abououf , a 15-part Egyptian series shot mostly in and around Beirut. Mariam's sparkling and gentle touch, producer @salmaosman 's patience and care, and production manager @mahmoudeissaa 's warrior struggle (as well as the very hard work of many many other colleagues) made a very challenging production very enjoyable.
