Hangawee is one of Korea’s most cherished holidays, and it is a time for us to gather with our “chosen family” and share creativity and joy. 한가위 Hangawee/추석 Chuseok, the Korean Thanksgiving, is a time to give thanks for the year’s harvest and wish for abundance and well-being. While it once centred on crops and farming, our modern lives invite us to celebrate in a different way: by sharing the harvests of our creativity. These creations may take many forms, such as visual art, design, music, food, products or services. The Hangawi Festival is a space where all these creations come together. I could not resist using this word-sausage made up by @robkeller.art for his amazing ironing-pearl-pixel-sculptures, after seeing @kimyagandhi ’s recent post of his exhibition. I had to try it as a sample "string" (literally) for my current tabletop work-in-progress (Neutronic Rounded). It makes work more fun. 🎢📢 I’d like to share another peek at how the new dragging feature of the ❝Mark Zones❞ plugin in Glyphs coming along in the next few days. Initially it was a little hard to grab the zone lines, but now they are exactly as easy to tech as any other element in Glyphs. I also added the option to drag the thickness of a zone. With these new features, ❝Mark Zones❞ will finally be incredibly easy to use and update. It will be a definite go to for every type designer’s toolbox 🧰 I hope to push the big update in a few days, after smashing some last little bugs 🐞 ————————— 🧩 ❝Mark Zones❞ is the best helper to align all your diacritics inside of predefined zones. You can get rid of piles of messy guide lines with it, because Mark Zones come in pairs and even can have overshoots. ✨Also you can define the colors, name labels and filter them by script or glyph type (for example numerals, punctuation, etc). 🌀Don’t miss out on the next update of ❝Mark Zones❞ for @glyphsapp now and try it out as soon as the update is live.
