Brittany Rappise — Hair + Makeup Designer | Costume Coordinator 👩🏻🎤
@makeupwigstress returns to OperaDelaware for the 17th production with the company, a relationship that began with a very first professional gig out of graduate school. She holds an MFA in Wig and Makeup Design from
@uncsa and has worked with
@desmoinesmetroopera ,
@fgopera ,
@nashvilleopera ,
@nycopera , and many others, as well as
@waltdisneyworld ,
@disneycruiseline , and
@buschgardensva . Chénier marks her second production with OperaDelaware as costume coordinator: a new chapter in a long partnership.
John Raley — Scenic Designer 🪜
@johnraleydesign is the newest member of the OperaDelaware design family, having designed Fearless last spring and Tosca last fall before now returning for Chénier. He holds an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and split his time between Philadelphia, New York City, and Maryland Eastern shore, where he teaches design at
@salisburyuniversity . his work has appeared on stages across the country and he has collaborated with
@thetonyawards nominated designer Tobin Ost on productions including Disney’s Broadway
@newsies and
@barrymanilowofficial ’s Harmony. In opera he has worked alongside Erhard Rom on productions for
@sfopera ,
@wolftrapopera , and
@neworleansopera .
Together, these three are the visual world of Andrea Chénier. And we promise you won’t want to miss it.
