The $50,000 award recognizes extraordinarily gifted singers with rising careers and is given in honor of the legendary American soprano, Beverly Sills. Sills (Bubbles to her friends!) and Mrs. Catherine Filene Shouse collaborated in founding the Wolf Trap Opera Company in 1971 and we couldn’t be prouder!
