Vera Looser and Samantha Sanders of Efficient Infiniti Insure take Stage 2 in 04:03:21, extending their dominance in the UCI Women’s race.
Prologue. Stage 1. Stage 2..
With an overall lead of 17 minutes and 8 seconds heading into the final stage, they have built a serious advantage at the front.
One day left.
In the Women’s Race, Stage 1 belongs to Efficient Infiniti Insure.�
Samantha Sanders and Vera Looser take the win in 03:16:36, opening up a commanding 8-minute lead over second place.
It was a composed ride from start to finish for the ladies, with no major issues reported. They looked comfortable on the climbs, controlled through the singletrack, and fully committed to the race from the first pedal stroke.
Day 1 done. A solid advantage in hand.

A fast start saw Vera Looser and Sam Sanders break away from the field early. The two traded blows for most of the race, playing cat and mouse until 10km from the finish where Vera found another gear and made it stick. Sam held strong for second. Behind them Danielle du Toit rode a gutsy solo race to take third, with Sarah Mare in fourth and Frances Jansen van Rensburg rounding out the top five.
