Riders see the trail. Crew sees the months behind it.
Route builders, village teams, bike wash crews, medics, marshals, registration, logistics, and the quiet legends who fix things before anyone even knows they are broken.
This post is for the unsung heroes. Thanks goes out for the hard work and the long days, it’s always worth it.
KAP sani2c is not just a three-day ride, it’s a route full of people.
Communities along the way provide essential services that make this event work, and in return, the event helps fund real upliftment along the route through the sani2c Community Development Trust.
It’s the part we are most proud of. Thank you for being part of something that keeps giving long after the finish line.
Before the dust has properly settled.
Before the stories grow taller than the climbs.
Just enough time for the stiffness to leave your legs… and for your butt to forgive you for three days in the saddle.
Entries for the 2027 KAP sani2c open on 25 May 2026.
Secure your spot. Lock it in. Take control of how your 2027 begins.
Because you know how this works. The memory fades just enough to make you brave again.
And when that start line calls, you will want to be there. FOMO is a real thing. Entry link in our bio.
Action Photo SA took over 15 000 photos last week. Stop and think about that for a second.
Sometimes you saw them, sometimes they were being sneaky - regardless, they were out there capturing all the moments, the ups, the downs and finish line feels.
Follow the links in our bio to find your pics. Find your race. Find your story.
Please note that images can only be identified by clearly visible race numbers. Riders outside South Africa can order digital images only.

Hands up if you ordered your own custom KAP sani2c Ciovita jersey this year.
You (possibly) trained in it. You raced in it. You earned the dust marks. Hopefully, you’ve washed it.
Now we want to see it.
Tag us and Ciovita in your photos. Show us your design. Tell us how the fit felt over three big days. Would you recommend going custom for someone lining up next year?
Ciovita not only created the leaders’ jerseys this year, they helped riders tell their own story through kit that performs when it matters.
Drop a photo. Drop a comment. Let’s see those colours out on the trails.
Another unforgettable @_sani2c 🙌🏻📸
Just over a week ago, I once again had the amazing honor of covering the ‘iconic’ Sani2c for @unitransgroup 🚵🏻♂️🚛 what a privilege it always is to be part of this amazing race for such a special organization!
You’ve just conquered the three-day KAP sani2c.
*Farmer Glen tips hat 👨🌾🧢
Right now your mind might be telling you that riding all three stages in one continuous push is out of reach. But think about it.
When you finish a 21km run, you cannot imagine doing a marathon.
When you finish a marathon, you cannot imagine doing Comrades.
And yet, people do.
The KAP sani2c nonstop (29–31 May 2026) is the ultimate test of endurance, teamwork, and mental strength. Waking up at midnight, slicing through pristine forest trails in the pitch dark, watching the sunrise over the misty Umkomaas Valley, and pushing all the way to the ocean at Scottburgh in one go is a life-changing adventure.
You already know the route. You already love the trails. You’re already fit - it’s basically a taper from now to nonstop…
Yes?
Gather your support crew. Challenge your partner. Take on the ultimate test of endurance, teamwork and mental grit.

… think of it as the back-to-back Comrades medal, just way more hardcore.
I've done most of the major stage races in SA, and somehow @_sani2c was always the one that got away. This year I finally made it, and I understood immediately why people keep coming back.
The trails are unlike anything we ride in the Western Cape. Fast, flowing, smooth kilometres that tick over almost imperceptibly through plantations, remote valleys and secret citrus orchards. And the Umkomaas Drop at sunrise is an experience to hold onto.

Adventure Day 3. The final day. The “downhill” to the “C” part of sani2c.
They say it is the fastest and least technical of the three days. And maybe it is. But after two big days in the legs, nothing comes easy.
Sugar cane roads roll fast and sharp from the start, before Keyless singletrack reminds everyone to focus. Clint’s Climb stings. The coastal forests of Vernon Crookes open up. Zebra watch from the bush as riders flow through Mtagati and drop toward the valley floor.
There is speed. There is tired laughter. There are moments where you think the finish must be close… and then realise there is still work to be done. But that cold beer at the finish keeps you going...
Ricky’s Rail. Lost and Found. The push up Dump Hill. The final flow through Rocky Bay. And then you smell the sea. The Hansgrohe Floating Bridge stretches out ahead. The sprint along the lagoon. One last push across the grass at Scottburgh Golf Club, and a spicy little climb to the finish.
Medals. Hugs. Cold beers. Salt air and big smiles.
Three days from mountain to coast. Dust to ocean.

This time last week you were most likely navigating the journey to Glencairn Farm, wondering if everything was going to fit into the infamous ‘black box’, whether you’d packed enough spares, clothes and snacks.
Now, life pre-KAP sani2c has resumed.
So here’s a little dopamine hit for your Tuesday, a recap of Adventure Day 2.
Day 2. The long day. Early alarms. Big views. Proper reward.
From the drop into the Umkomaas Valley to the flowing magic of Yankee Doodle and Sosiba’s Section, it was a day of wide eyes and steady pacing. River crossings, wooden bridges, game farms and that build-up to Iconic that tests legs and partnership in equal measure.
Some climbed it clean. Some walked with pride. All earned the view from the top.
Then the roll through Highflats and the final neutral Unitrans Green Mile into Jolivet, tired but smiling.

What is your favourite memory of Day 2?
The infamous PG Bison Floating Bridge.
Two curved, floating 200m bridges stretched across Sappi’s Moss Bank Dam.
Right bridge? Tricky. Faster, but high reward if you keep it smooth.
Left bridge? Safer. Slightly slower. Socks are more likely to stay dry.
Regardless of which bridge you choose, once you’re on, there’s no turning back. PS - we posted a reel of a swimmer and would love to find out who he is. If it’s you, or your partner, pls slide into our DMs.
