It has been 14 months since I last stepped on the dance floor to battle. With a major hip replacement surgery in May, and 5 months of hardcore recovery, this was my first battle back! Returning was not easy. There are lots of new, young, and powerfully funky lockers in the scene today and I can def feel a difference dancing at 42, but the love everyone showed (especially at the end) meant so much. Coming back after a long hiatus is the true victory. Never let anyone tell you it’s not possible!

ONE NIGHT ONLY is a dance concept video based in queer fantasy making, chosen family legacy, and creative process. Willy (Hennessy), Quincy (Rosé), and Charlotte (Chardonnay) came together years ago thanks to the guidance and care of Kelvin (Bacardii), their first w*acking mentor and gay father. This project celebrates and explores both the transformations of their dance journeys and Punking-Waacking evolutions.

Over the many years we have danced/gigged/gagged/laughed/learned together, our phone camera rolls are full of memories. But this is our very first collaborative project all together. Thankful to have each other in our lives - always a place of joy, care, and creativity when we come together. The family of alcoholic drinks will live forever.

Exhibition Battles: Enter your name upon arrival. Names will be drawn at random for a 1 on 1 battle (3 rounds each).
Call-Outs: No announcements needed. Dancers are welcome to call out anyone in the venue to a battle. No spot light necessary.
