✨ I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES ✨ A compilation of my rounds at the Crystallized Campbellocking battle Lula Lounge Toronto, Canada Oct 2025 It has been 14 months since I last stepped on the dance floor to battle. With a major hip replacement surgery in May, and 5 months of hardcore recovery, this was my first battle back! Returning was not easy. There are lots of new, young, and powerfully funky lockers in the scene today and I can def feel a difference dancing at 42, but the love everyone showed (especially at the end) meant so much. Coming back after a long hiatus is the true victory. Never let anyone tell you it’s not possible! last weekend in toronto at my first ever @crystallized.jam was truly a dream! i went in with the goal of having fun, and somehow walked away winning favourite follow of the night! i have literally never won anything ever in my life, sooo... it meant a lot to me. even before this weekend, my morning journal entries have consistently drifted towards gratitude. i feel full of joy and gratitude for this beautiful life and community i have found myself in, and i feel so lucky to have shared this weekend in toronto with all these people i love so much :’) and as for those people... @shawnkim_ for always having wonderful energy and connection, i was honoured to share the floor with you! thank you for the dances! @less.izm & @theladyperez for sharing the floor with me in such a supportive, fun way! i loved meeting you both, let’s dance again soon! @julienandtaylor for your friendship, and your mentorship. you know how i feel! @jonny.qwest for filming and being my hype man @kyna_mystique for being my hype woman and fellow safety pin wielder @icedmistoplease @s0ulius.qd @shimshimmaa for putting on the best jam! watching footage of crystallized 2019 was my first ever exposure to street dance and i knew i was seeing something special – and now i feel so lucky to be part of it. thank you for the work that you do! photos by @ninjahmal 🫶

I had a great time at @crystallized.jam this weekend! Thank you so much to the Crystallized team @funkyfacilitators @tohustlesessions @shimshimmaa @icedmistoplease @borisoninsta for putting up an amazing 5th edition! For several years, it’s been a great event for dancers from across different cities to get together, catch-up and share our love for this dance! It’s an event that I have loved going to since I started campbellocking. I’m so grateful to have gotten the chance to grow alongside this event and seeing it have 50 campellockers participating this year! And I sure hope there will be many more Crystallized to come! What an incredible weekend! On behalf of @shimshimmaa and I, we are overwhelmed and deeply grateful. We saw so much joy and laughter. We witnessed reunions of friends, new friendships being made, and communities, crews, and cities bonding. It is the people who make this event so special. As Keegan said: In 2015, Keegan was training Campbellocking heavy and I was doing the same in Wh/aacking. At the first @tohustlesessions that @arthurstorm and @kristineflores_ was hosting, Keegan asked if I could be his partner for the class, and from there formed who I call one of my chosen family. We went to so many parties where our growth as dancers happened the most, and made more deep connections along the way. That's how Crystallized came to be: Our love for music, dance communities, and club culture. It couldn't have gone so smoothly without this amazing team this year: 💖 @le_geek_cc helped with the grant and planning all year.
