This workshop will include a screening of the award winning film: Beyond Borders: a documentary in dance (who IS that handsome guy… ) alongside a class focused on connection, a talkback/conversation, and a chance to play with new ways of listening in a bit of a social. We’ll get to process the messages of the film together through movement and ask questions about what makes us more or less empathic while we dance with others. Cindy’s approach is to offer simple tasks that focus on leading and following more sensitively while building mindfulness around what we think about while we’re learning and engaging with a partner. Our goals will be to get past our mental blocks, to find more joy in exploration, and to heighten the synergy in the room.

No major changes to timing or location, we still at 4015 Fraser street for the jam and at Victoria Drive Community Hall for workshops. Buuut at 4:00pm on Saturday there’s a DJ Panel Discussion before the jam starts, as well as an Intro to Hustle class at 4:30pm.
Both of these are little free bonuses for everyone who has a ticket for the event on Saturday. Come by a bit earlier on May 2 and participate in one of these two freebies!

Battle registration info:
If you want to battle (in the 3v3 hustle category, the all styles category or the toddler hustle J&J), you must purchase a battlers ticket. At the link in bio, you’ll be prompted to enter your info for the category/categories you’re entering.
Keep in mind, the most economical choice is to buy a battlers ticket and enter both the 3v3 all styles category and the 3v3 hustle category. 😀
Also keep in mind that battle registrations will close on April 30 at 11:55pm Pacific Standard time. No last minute sign ups!

Bonjour!! It’s been over a month since we dropped the dates for Thrice As Nice, and we wanted to share some updates. The organizing team has been working furiously and we’ve got exciting news to share! 🎉
We’ve got the venue, the judges, the DJs and the MC all confirmed. ✅ We’re still working on workshops, but trust they will be dope!
Look for our super fancy flyer coming out next week, but for now these are the main details:
🗓️May 1: Prelims, party, and top 8 (for both hustle and all-styles)
🗓️May 2: Semis, finals, and more party (plus a panel before all that)

A new twist on a beloved classic, now 50% better than ever before! Join us May 1 & 2 in Vancouver for a 3v3 Allstyle battle, 3v3 Hustle battle, and a ‘hustle toddler’ JnJ (3 years of experience or less). Two halls and five DJs will keep you partying over the two nights. More details to be announced soon. 🎉
