Yesterday as I was guiding a family on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula one of the stops was a lava cave and was supposed to wait for them while they visit the cave. Little did I know that I would spend these 30min with a little furry friend 😍 This cute little white arctic fox showed up and conditions couldn’t be more perfect! Fresh white snow everywhere, no wind and beautiful sunrise 🌅 I have been wishing for a moment like this to happen for years and it finally did and was beyond any expectations! After the first 10min my camera ran out of battery but I had time to get back to the car, put a new battery and go back to shoot 🤩 I thought photography opportunities for 2024 were over but apparently I was wrong 😍 Conclusion… always carry your gears with you whatever you do because you never know what will happen 🙃

My first drone photos of our new eruption ! It was amazing to see this show again, I had missed it! The heat released felt more impressive than last year's eruption and we could feel it from far away ! The weather conditions were not ideal for the drone because the clouds were very low and with the heat released by the volcano it is better to fly as high as possible which was not easy because visibility was quickly lost. We had a few brief moments with the sky clearing up a bit and it was during one of them that I was able to take some drone photos! This new volcano is very exciting and will most likely get very big! I am very curious and impatient to see it evolve 🌋🇮🇸 🌋

Last March at laguna rosa de torrevieja.
a landscape shaped as much by nature as by humans.
Salt, algae, wind and shallow water create these surreal colours and textures, while canals, boats and geometric lines quietly reveal decades of extraction and transformation. and in the middle of it all, flamingos.
thousands of them feeding, resting and moving through an environment that almost feels artificial from above, yet remains completely alive.
One of the things I love most about aerial photography is how it blurs the line between abstraction and reality. sometimes a lagoon becomes a painting, a flock turns into brush strokes, and industrial structures start looking almost organic.

Going through thousands of photos from the past years and I find a lot of hidden gems… so here is a collection of random moments of the Fagradalsfjall eruption back in 2021 🌋
All these photos were captured on Mavic 2 Pro. I pushed this drone a lot including melting the bottom of it while recording a lava river towards the end of the 2021 eruption and surprisingly, after taking off the melted plastic it kept flying for many more years!

Tomorrow is officially the first day of summer in Iceland… even if it really doesn’t feel like it yet. It’ll take a little while before the landscape shifts back to green, so for now I’m holding onto the winter vibe with a few images captured on the way in and out of the Highlands during a recent expedition with @amarokadventures
I’m definitely looking forward to summer in the Highlands, but seeing it like this, raw and frozen, was an experience I won’t forget.
