Ruka truly transforms into a living Narnia once the heavy "tykky" frost anchors itself to the trees, turning the entire landscape into a gallery of natural ice sculptures. There is a quiet, almost surreal stillness that settles over the fells, especially during the long blue hour when the sky glows in deep shades of indigo and soft pink. Whether you’re standing at the summit looking out over the endless white horizon or tucked away in a log cabin with the fire crackling, the atmosphere is pure winter magic. It isn’t just about the cold; it’s about that rare, ethereal feeling of being inside a real-life snow globe where every branch is weighed down by the sheer weight of a Finnish winter. Deep in Finnish Lapland, this glass igloo transforms winter into theater.
Snow drifts across the ceiling, northern lights ripple above your pillow, and silence settles thick on the frozen landscape #PlanetTravels #LaplandLuxury #GlassIgloo #WinterRetreat #BoutiqueStays #NordicDesign #ArcticEscape #PlanetExplorer

A weekend at the cutest boutique hotel in downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake, @124onqueen We stayed here after the Toronto 1/2 marathon, so our recovery was filled with shopping in town, wineries, the Spa (we did the hydrotherapy circuit), and the best food at on-site restaurants such as NOTL and Treadwell. It is under 2 hours from downtown Toronto and 30 minutes from Niagara Falls 🤍 #124onqueen

A Nashville stay in the middle of it all 🎶 Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown was the perfect home base for a weekend downtown. Rooftop pool, city views from the room, and walking distance to Broadway and some of our favorite spots. Hotel: @temponashvilledtn

@treloyhan.manor is a breathtaking sight on the rugged coast of Cornwall, boasting stunning views of St. Ives Bay. Built in 1892, this Victorian manor is a true architectural masterpiece, with its grand staircase, elaborate carvings, and magnificent stained-glass windows. It’s no wonder Treloyhan has been named one of the most beautiful and well-preserved historic stays in the United Kingdom.

Behold the "Earthset." This incredible shot from the Orion spacecraft captures Earth disappearing behind the far side of the Moon. It’s the first time we’ve seen our home like this since the Apollo era, marking a giant leap forward for the Artemis generation. We’re going back, and this time, we’re staying. Follow @vacationclubco for more travel content

Tim Sweeney spent years building massive virtual worlds, now he’s ensuring the real one stays wild. As the founder of Epic Games, Sweeney has quietly become one of America’s most dedicated conservationists. He’s purchased over 50,000 acres of North Carolina wilderness, not for profit, but for protection. By utilizing permanent easements and donating land to wildlife services, he's ensuring these critical ecosystems remain untouched for generations Follow @vacationclubco for more travel content

The island of Crete currently looks like a still from a dystopian film as a massive surge of Saharan dust has turned the entire atmosphere a haunting shade of blood orange. This rare and intense meteorological event is being driven by powerful southerly winds hauling fine sediment from the North African desert across the Mediterranean. While the resulting visuals are undeniably breathtaking, the beauty comes with a serious warning, as the sheer density of the dust has caused air quality to plummet to hazardous levels. Local authorities have issued urgent health advisories, urging residents to remain indoors and avoid physical exertion until the haze clears. The intensity of this particular storm has caught many by surprise, effectively erasing the horizon and burying cities under an eerie, apocalyptic glow. It is a stark and surreal reminder of how closely the environments of Africa and Southern Europe are intertwined by the wind. Follow @vacationclubco for more travel content

Japan’s 2026 Sakura season has arrived, painting the landscape in shades of soft pink. From the first blooms in Kōchi on March 16 to Tokyo reaching full peak on March 28, the "Sakura Front" is officially moving north. If you missed the early blossoms in the capital, don’t worry, the magic is just beginning in the north. Catch the peak in Sapporo between April 18–24, with Hokkaido’s final petals drifting through May. Follow @vacationclubco for more travel content

Nature’s own question mark! Welcome to Poland's Crooked Forest, where hundreds of pine trees take a bizarre 90-degree bend right at the base before reaching for the sky. Was it human intervention, a harsh snowstorm, or something a little more supernatural? The true cause remains a mystery to this day! Follow @vacationclubco for more travel content
