1926 – 1935
This year, 66°North marks 100 years alongside the Icelandic nation. To celebrate, we photographed 100 people born between 1926 and 2025, one from every year of our history.
Each person is pictured in their own 66°North piece. Together, they form a portrait of the nation that shaped us.
The exhibition is now open during @DesignMarch in Reykjavík from May 7 to 10. Installations are also open in our 66°North stores in Copenhagen and London.

They say it takes a village, but in a place like Þingeyri in Iceland, it often takes a woman like Ólafía Sigríður Sigurjónsdóttir.
A lifelong resident of the Westfjords, Ólafía is a supporter in every sense - whether she’s cheering for her four children, thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, following English football, or ensuring no one leaves her table hungry. Her care is what binds four generations together.
Ahead of International Mother’s Day this Sunday, we celebrate women like Ólafía whose care, strength, and love shape generations.
A constant through changing conditions.
