Looking back on this journey with @ouroceantable makes my heart so full. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of such a meaningful project.
What started with production design and food styling in the studio naturally evolved into graphic design work — from title and poster design to hand-drawn animations and custom illustrations for thank-you cards. It’s been such a creatively fulfilling experience from start to finish.
I can’t thank @sonyaslee enough for placing so much trust in me throughout the process. It’s been so wonderful collaborating with the incredibly talented team of co-directors @sonyaslee & @jonchiang , along with co-producers @joannaclairewong & @pdlight .
Thank you all for bringing me along on this beautiful journey 🤍

Origin story: Hannah @hannsung and I became friends over BTS (biggest kpop band ever)! If you know us, you already know that we are BTS ARMY💜. I slid into Hannah’s DMs many years ago because I was looking for someone to talk to about BTS 🤣
I grew up watching Hannah on tv when she was a Much Music reporter. She was a role model and a journalist I respected for years. When Our Ocean Table was going to be about Korean culture in Canada as well as ocean sustainability, Hannah was my first call!
I never thought responding to her Instagram posts about BTS would lead us to lively group chats about BTS (shoutout to our BTS Bookclub) and hosting a series together!
