📢최기천 부총영사는 5.9(토) 늘푸른 팔도회(회장 이영순)가 주최한 어버이날 기념 행사에 참여하여 시니어 동포분들에게 식사를 대접하는 등 행사 준비를 위한 봉사활동을 하였습니다. 최기천 부총영사는 축사를 통해 해외 거주 동포분들은 어버이날 부모와 자녀가 함께 시간을 보내기 어려운 상황이 일반적이라며, 어버이날 즈음 서로 정을 나눌 수 있는 자리를 마련해 준 늘푸른 팔도회의 번창을 기원했습니다. Deputy Consul General Choi Gi-cheon participated in the Parents’ Day commemorative event hosted by the Neulpureun Paldo Association on Saturday, May 9, where he took part in volunteer activities to help prepare the event, including serving meals to senior members of the Korean Canadian community. In his congratulatory remarks, Deputy Consul General Choi noted that it is often difficult for overseas Koreans to spend Parents’ Day together with their parents and children. He expressed his hope for the continued success and growth of the Neulpureun Paldo Association for organizing a meaningful gathering where community members could share warmth and fellowship around Parents’ Day.

The documentary highlighted the diversity and appeal of Korean culture through cuisine featuring seafood sourced from Canada’s oceans. The event was followed by a reception, offering a meaningful opportunity for engagement and exchange.
