Insights 👀 Into the publication for the 26th federal price for art students ✨🎖️✨ The catalog features a slipcase crafted from brown cardboard material, secured with an integrated magnet strip for a seamless closure. Inside, six artist portfolios are presented, offering insights into their biographies, diverse works through imagery, and accompanying texts about their artistic endeavors. Insights 👀 Into the publication combining all work from the class of Gerwin Schmidt in 2020/2021 on 424 pages 📖 The feeling of the book was inspired by an archive 🏛️ trying to collect as much data of the mainly digital projects, materializing it in a book. Thanks again to all class members! Amaze, Amaze, Amaze 🚀 Had some time to further develop this little typeface. Still not sure where it’s going 😵‍💫 but I’m enjoying the process ✌🏼Kind of in love with the thin version 💫 Uppercase and lowercase are now complete, though many glyphs are still very much WIP ⚙️ You can tell I am influenced by Artemis & Project Hail Mary lately 👾 #typedesign #displaytype

[ Poster Club ]   The Poster Club series showcases the creative process and inspiration behind posters selected for the International Poster Competition, while highlighting the talented designers behind the work. I’m @jon.koerner , a graphic designer currently based in Berlin. Shaped by the Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and the desks I’ve sat at along the way.  Posters have been my friends on this journey from the very beginning. I have always treated this medium as an artwork capable of shifting perspectives, building narratives, and evoking emotion through small surprising twists, everything contained within a single large sheet of paper. Because of that, posters have always held a special place in my heart.  My process is largely driven by exploration. Whether that means diving into the field a poster promotes or experimenting with new techniques to translate an idea or expression. I cannot exactly define what characterizes my way of working, as it is not fixed but constantly evolving, with exploration itself being an essential part of it.  Whenever possible, I also enjoy collaborating with different people, many of whom are represented in this selection of posters. 🔗 01 Poster for a concert of the band Braake together with @kathleenbaecker 02 Poster for Workshops 2025 at @abkstuttgart 03 Poster for Industrial design diploma presentation together with @messermaxi 04 Poster for the master and diploma presentation of @abkstuttgart 05 Poster for the movie The Deep Above together with @pumakuma 06 Poster for the party AKW together with @pumakuma 07 Poster for the music festival Xciting together with @messermaxi 08 Poster for the Jour Fixe of the architecture department together with @pumakuma 09 Poster and Invitation for the exhibition Here–Now by Yun Park together with @lu.sk

Poster and exhibition design for The Mushroom and the Cloud The World That Uranium Built Chapter Wismut Egon Eiermann Fellowship 2024/25 By Oxana Gourinovitch Presented @ethzurich / @gta_archive_ethz “Nature does not know extinction; all it knows is transformation.” — Werner von Braun, quoted in Thomas Pynchon, Gravity’s Rainbow, 1973 Centering on the example of the Soviet-German uranium mining corporation Wismut, the research exhibition The Mushroom and the Cloud examines how nuclear extractivism shaped spatial thinking and practice in the 20th century. It explores how these developments—understood as part of the broader nuclear condition—responded to, and ultimately transcended, the political confrontations of the Cold War.
