Custom typeface for LA VIDA ERA MÁS CORTA, the latest album by Argentinian artist @milo.j Developed from an earlier version of ACADEMIC typeface, this custom version translates the conceptual core of the album into typographic form. LA VIDA ERA MÁS CORTA revisits Argentinian folklore and brings it into the present, an emotional landscape shaped by memory, cadence and the tension between what is inherited and what is lived now. The typeface keeps the original ACADEMIC structure, but expands it through a wider system of ligatures, subtle and exaggerated swashes and contextual alternates that introduce irregular rhythm and movement. These additions let the typeface shift voice and intensity, mirroring the album’s blend of tradition and contemporaneity. Custom typeface for TROBAT, a digital concept store showcasing and selling collections from undiscovered artisans from all corners of the globe. The typeface named “FOUND” was conceived as a singular piece within the identity system. Inspired by geometric forms and developed through a process that blends manual and digital craftsmanship, it introduces irregularities and four hand-modified versions of the logo characters that appear randomly across applications. More than a visual tool, it becomes part of the collection itself, a typographic artefact shaped by the same values of care, curiosity and discovery. Brand identity and visual system for KOPI KRATE, a subscription service that curates and delivers specialty coffee from independent Spanish roasters every month. The identity approaches the visual system as a flexible framework designed to hold the diversity of coffees they offer, becoming a space for storytelling and experience. After a lot of hard work, I’m really happy to share my final project for the Type@Cooper @coopertype Extended Program 23/24. “Academic” is a tool-based typeface that unites the various techniques behind the original forms of the Latin alphabet, drawing inspiration from the brushstrokes of Roman capitals and the broad-nib pen used for lowercase. It features asymmetrical serifs with sharp angles and clean lines, conveying a serious tone while balancing functionality and character. Thoughtfully blending tradition and modernity, “Academic” is a versatile typeface suitable for both classic and contemporary environments.
