Happy Monday ❤️
A @bonappetitmag feature truly is insane! It’s honestly wild that the unhinged videos I’ve created in my kitchen in Astoria have made even a tiny impact in this giant space. There are so many cultural stories to tell in the bev world and it’s time the industry expands its own influences to catch up.

HEY I’m having a POP-UP!! 🇰🇷
Seollal (Lunar New Year) is right around the corner and I wanted to do something to bring our community together in these very uncertain times. I have the honor of partnering with Chef @yooeating and @dodgeygram , Owners of one of my favorite spots in NYC, Orion Bar! @orionbarbk
RSVP link in my bio!!!🧧❤️
I’ll be serving up four Korean-themed cocktails to pair with Orion Bar’s anju offerings. The idea behind each of these cocktails means so much to me as a Korean, and I hope they bring back some childhood memories for you too.
But most special!! We’ll be hosting an incredible raffle to raise money for Heart of Dinner (@heartofdinner ), a queer and AAPI-owned organization that delivers meals to AAPI elders in NYC. AND a portion of each drink sold will go to Heart of Dinner! Come drink, help us raise money for people doing amazing things for our communities, and kick off your New Year with some good energy.
Thank you so much to the team at Orion Bar for giving me and this idea a home, and all of our sponsors for making this happen!

Bún bò Huế Bloody Mary
For episode 2 of Asian Dish to Cocktail for AAPI month, this cocktail is inspired by the (better) Vietnamese noodle soup!! It’s fragrant, spicy, and definitely a little insane. Can y’all ask your viet aunties if this is acceptable?
Lmk what dish you want to see next!
RECIPE
2 oz Sa tế Fat-Washed @titosvodka
2 oz Beef bone broth @brodo
2 oz tomato juice
1 full dropper of onion tincture
3 dashes fish sauce
1-2 dashes of Sriracha
½ oz Lime juice
Pinch of salt
(Optional) ½ oz lemongrass syrup to balance if it’s too savory for you…
Roll around in your shaker (I’d avoid shaking with ice to prevent overdiluting imo)
Garnishes
Lime wedge
Cilantro
Thai basil
Lemongrass stalk
Thai chilies
Optional: Beef balls
Sa tế fat wash: 3 oz Sa tế + ~600 ml of Vodka. Shake and let sit at room temp for 3 hours, then freeze overnight and strain solidified oil and solids. Can use chili crisp or lao gan ma to substitute, but authentic Vietnamese sa tế sauce has the lemongrass notes that are really critical here.
Onion tincture (rapid infuse method): 1 cup of high proof alcohol (like Everclear) into a whipper with ¼ medium sized onion. Charge with 1 N2O cartridge. Shake and let sit and infuse for 10-15 mins. Strain out solids.

An al pastor x street corn margarita??
Teaming up with @xochitlsnacks to bring you a bold (and unhinged) and tiki take on a margarita. Inspired by the spicy, herby, and tangy flavors of al pastor and street corn, this is the one drink (and snack) pairing I’m making for my parties this year.
RECIPE
1 ¾ oz Cotija-infused tequila
¾ oz Nixta Licor De Elote
1 oz AA fluffy orange juice
¾ oz pineapple juice
½ oz chile and cilantro agave
Optional: pinch of salt
Add all ingredients to a shaker full of ice, shake until FLUFFY, and strain over ice. Garnish with tajin.
Chile infused agave:
400 grams agave syrup
200 milliliters water
40 grams chopped green serrano chile
20 g of roughly chopped cilantro
Add chopped cilantro and chiles to water. Let cold-steep for 15 mins. Strain out all solids. Add agave and whisk until incorporated.
Acid Adjusted Fluffy Orange juice: To a blender add 2 whole oranges and blend until smooth. Strain out solids. I acid adjusted to match acidity of lime juice so ~200g of orange juice to 5g of citric acid and 3.4g of malic acid. BUT you can also use 1 oz of orange juice and 1 oz of lime juice instead to substitute!
Cotija infused tequila: ~12 oz of tequila and a HUNK of cotija cheese. Let it sit over night in the fridge. Strain out and then filter through a coffee filter to get it clearer.

Peach orange blossom sorbet negroni float 🌸
RECIPE (Makes ~3-4 servings)
8 oz frozen peaches
4 Tbsp of agave or maple syrup (or simple syrup)
1 Tbsp orange blossom water
Juice of half a lemon (or more for a lil tang)
Lemon zest
To a blender, add frozen peaches, orange blossom water, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Slowly add in maple syrup until blended. You may want to use a few splashes of water to get it blending initially.
Negroni topper (will be enough for 2-3 servings)
1 oz Gin
1 oz Campari
1 oz Sweet vermouth
I stirred by negroni with a little ice before pouring over the sorbet (so it doesn’t melt too quick)

Mind the business that pays you ❤️
Been getting a few comments lately on my voice, my background, and everything else and figured I’d share some thoughts. Thanks for being here!
Salted date and earl grey freddo cappuccino 🌸
RECIPE
4-5 medjool dates soaked in hot espresso
~½ tsp of vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Soak dates in hot espresso for at least 20 mins until mushy. Add salt and vanilla and using an emersion blender, blend while slowly adding a little hot water until it blends smooth and syrup-like.
400 ml earl grey nonfat milk
1 tbsp white granulated sugar
~⅛ tsp of xantham gum (optional)
Has to be nonfat! Add an earl grey tea bag to your nonfat milk and let cold steep in the fridge overnight. The next day, add SUPER COLD nonfat milk, sugar, and xantham gum, and using an emersion blender, blend until super fluffy and glossy. You can try to do this with a blender but my blender heated up too quick and the cream didn’t fluff up enough.
Build your drink: Add syrup, ice, cooled espresso (whisked with some ice to get fluffy), and top with cold foam.

For the better half of my entire life, I was a violinist. Music was kind of the only real routine of my childhood I remember. Maybe I’ll return to it some day ❤️
