At
@dublinfilmfestival on Saturday, we met up with director Meghan Duffy to present the First Frame Award for Best Editing for her short film “Mixed Signals”.
Huge congratulations to editors Eli O’Hanlon and Saoirse Burton for their beautiful work on this film, created while students at the
@schoolofmediatudublin (TU Dublin School of Media).
Mairéad McIvor,
@mb_mcivor co-chair of
@irishscreeneditors , served on the First Frame Jury Panel, a showcase celebrating outstanding student shorts. Awards included Best Film, Best Documentary, and Best Experimental Film.
This year, for the first time, ISE were delighted to present the Best Editing Award, recognising the creative art of editing and its vital role in storytelling.
At First Frame, ISE committee member Malcolm Moloney
@mal.1981 also organised a panel discussion featuring ISE editors, who shared their insights and experience with emerging filmmakers.
Many thanks to
@adobevideo @adobeuk for sponsoring a fantastic prize — a one-year subscription — which is hugely appreciated.
And a special thank you to Peggy McHale, Gráinne Humphreys, and the team at
@dublinfilmfestival for having us this year. As always, the festival was amazing!
