1️⃣ month since taping CNN’s New Year’s Eve global broadcast LIVE from @anzieblue Nashville! 🎥🤠📡 I did NOT have line dancing on world TV on my Bingo card — but with AB co-owner @marcieallenvanmol ’s coaxing + instructor @justinlee87 leading, it felt totally natural 🕺 Until I got messages from surprised friends overseas after 😂 But that’s a metaphor for 2026’s theme — the year of LFG! 💥 Thanks to brilliant Talent Producer @hellofemco CEO @lesliefram1 , I got to have a small role in brainstorming — and seeing that come to fruition on global TV was a real thrill 🥲 @johncartercash & @anacristinacash performed “Ring of Fire” ⭕🔥 Cowritten by John’s mom @junecartercash , inducted to Country Music Hall of Fame in 2025 👩‍🎤 Initially recorded by his aunt Anita, then made famous by father @johnnycash with his spicy mariachi 🎺 Since #JohnnyCash is in the #RockHall and he met June at the Ryman Auditorium, I had to rock my RH / RA tee from @rockhall ’s store (in my hometown of Cleveland) for this big TV day! 🎸💒👕 Ana & John also performed Ana’s original song “Daybreak,” a liberating singalong — from her new album The Sunshine State, out now! 🌞 A diverse array of artists peppered the day, including @chrisisaak — whose vocal range is INSANELY wide! 👨‍🎤 And closer @iammaggierose , whose Grace Potter collab “Poison In My Well” was #Grammys nominated! Kudos to CNN, led by producer @caroline_klein , for showing the 🌍 that #Nashville is so much more vibrant than boozing on Broadway 🌈 They selected an independent venue (Anzie Blue) in the gorgeous Hillsboro Village of Nashville’s southwest, across from 100 year-old @belcourttheatre 🎞️ And a crowd of folks from all walks of life singing, dancing, & celebrating together! ✨ That’s what makes me proudest. This program, despite being NYE, didn’t have anything sloshy or low brow — everyone from my Nana to her great-granddaughters could enjoy it! 💙 Thanks @lyndakinkade for doing a fab job anchoring a long day, and dancing to boot! 💃 I’ve learned so much from Australian broadcasters! 🇦🇺 @kyshonamusic told CNN her 2026 wish is “to build community” 🎯 And I’m grateful for mine! Big love to Anzie Blue, FEMCO + team! 🫶

Thank you @donhenley for our fascinating Buddy Magazine cover story, as @eagles wrap their farewell tour on our home turf at @globelifefield tonight! 🏟️🦅 63 years after Don played his first band gig at the Chevy dealership in his hometown! 🥲 Don Henley and I spoke for 2 hours about his incredible life journey from being an only child in rural East Texas to a pioneer of country, rock, AND pop music 🥁🤠 Turns out, the voice of “Hotel California” always kept his Cass County roots close to heart ❤️ When the Eagles broke up and Don tried to find his footing as a new solo artist in his mid 30s, his debut album closed with a song his grandmother sang (“The Unclouded Day”) on the porch 🤗 Don was deeply uncomfortable with MTV; but “The Boys of Summer” harkened back to his childhood, and changed the music video game — winning Video of The Year at the 2nd ever VMAs! 🏆 We discussed how Don was the first non-French musician to hire Jean Baptiste Mondino to direct a music video, then Mondino went on to direct Madonna’s groundbreaking “Open Your Heart” video 🎬 We also discussed the #Eagles’ prolific discography, the One Of These Nights reissue including a 1975 concert with both Bernie Leadon and Joe Walsh, his new PBS doc on Thoreau with Ken Burns, Eagles’ @spherevegas show resuming this fall, @thewaldenwoodsproject and much more! “Wasted Potential” is the title of @skylargrey ’s new album, but her @anzieblue Nashville listening party was the antithesis! 💙🎶 Out May 22, this is a “quintessential millennial” album — that also appeals to anyone who loves the ‘90s, has felt misunderstood, or faces crossroads in their lives. Amid turning 40, Skylar re-examined the early part of her life — long before Eminem and Rihanna recorded “Love the Way You Lie” (which Skylar told us she wrote a month before its release) — when she was a misfit in small town Wisconsin. 👩‍🎤 And finding herself falling in love with that upbringing, despite her desperation to escape it at the time.
