A message from @donhenley :
Visit walden.org to learn about the forthcoming documentary entitled HENRY DAVID THOREAU and about The Walden Woods Project, a nonprofit organization I founded in 1990 to preserve the land, literature, and legacy of Thoreau.
“HENRY DAVID THOREAU” is a three-hour documentary that will premiere on PBS stations on March 30, 2026 (episodes 1 and 2), and March 31, 2026 (episode 3). The film is directed by Chris and Erik Ewers of Ewers Brothers Productions. Ken Burns and Don Henley are the executive producers. It features narration by George Clooney, and the voices of Jeff Goldblum as Thoreau, Ted Danson as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Meryl Streep as several contemporaries of Thoreau, and Tate Donovan as Ellery Channing. Tune in to learn more about the man whose words have defined movements, championed nature, and challenged generations to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
