• In August, I was asked to lead on the creation of talent interviews, research and the conducting of these interviews for Samuel Ross MBE, Bianca Saunders, Ronan Mcknezie, and Rapman as part of the @takemorephotos and @epidemicsound backed ‘Culture Vanguards’ exhibit. Now airing as a multi-sensory exhibit at @outernetlondon / @outernetglobal , it celebrates and champions the exceptional talents showcased, who have shaped and revolutionised the modern canon of their respective industries across the arts. Spanning fashion, music, film, photography, art and design, the showcase brings to life their stories, and struggles triumphs behind their journeys of becoming the culture vanguards of their generation. Now live until December 24th at @outernetlondon / @outernetglobal Exhibit honourees: • @design.by.samuelross - British fashion designer, creative director and artist • @biancasaunders - founder of the eponymous luxury fashion label Bianca Saunders, renowned for its innovative craftsmanship • @realrapman - the celebrated British rapper, screenwriter, and film director • @ronanksm - multidisciplinary artist spanning the worlds of photography, art + design Credits - too long for the caption, will share at some point. Immensely grateful for the trust @iamfo_will @niftysoawesome

• For @mixmag ’s final cover of 2023, I met with @victoriamonet . 72 hours after her seven GRAMMY nominations + hours after performing for Janet Jackson, we dissected her breakthrough. Speaking to @dmile85 , I also traced the makings of her ‘Jaguar’ universe and contextualised her pounce into the mainstream with the contemporary state of R&B. Victoria is a product of diligence and a constant desire to be better. She also reflects R&B’s changing face and its prioritisation of stars once again. She forms part of the next generation of R&B titans, still appealing to older generations, who want to feel. In our second interview, we spoke about her first vocation of dance and how it led her to music. So honoured to have documented an instrumental series of events which will come to shape Victoria’s evolution as an R&B talent. Thank you to @patrickhinton for believing in the story, green lighting and editing with care and to @august.agency and Kim Davis for making this happen too on the artist side. • For @nmemagazine ’s ‘The Cover’, I spoke to Destin Conrad. Together, we divulge on his place in contemporary R&B, alongside acts like Kwn, Victoria Monét and Kehlani — adding an intersectional edge to its contemporary ascension. We also unpack on UK R&B, Destin an advocate for the sound and its migration. Also discussed is his sentience online and response to artistic criticisms from his fans. As Destin moves forward, he lightly discusses his next project also. A refreshing conversation with an honest voice. • For @wetransfer ’s @wepresent , I spoke to @stefanthephotographer about his latest series of photos “To Be King”. Conceived after watching an episode of Merlin, yearning to be back in London during his studies in France, “To Be King” reimagines Black people — Black Brit’s specifically — as dynasty members, rulers and knights, the series also serves as Stefan’s final project for his @unioftheartslondon masters. “I just really want to show the toll wearing this armor takes all the time,” he tells me, likening the uniform to the lived experience of Black people navigating racial politics. An illuminating and enlightening discussion. Full interview and feature available in the bio. Thank you to @alex.kahl for letting me tell this story and document this piece of work.
