Hey everyone, Abdul here. Sharing some BTS from the previous shoot we did with @dnaseattle for the Black Black Friday Card, as well as a quick breakdown on how it all came together. We initially planned on shooting outside of Boon Boona on 12th Ave, even scouted and shotlisting the location, but due to it being city property decided to move it to Midtown Square, which we were very much happy to do. The original plan was to shoot the party scene in the courtyard, so good weather was really important. We monitored the weather all week leading up to shoot day, but was hard to predict since it would change every other day. The shoot day started out with great weather, and we’re able to get most of the performance scenes with relative ease, but around 3pm the rain started coming down heavy. To make matters worse, all the outlets we were using in the courtyard went out 30 minutes into the shoot. We had to do a mad scramble to A) find a solution for the rain and B) get power for our lighting setup. Luckily Ms. Helen was kind enough to let us use her space to host the party, and we were able to source a generator at the 11th hour, saving the shoot We had a lovely time shooting with DNA, and are excited to run it back again in the near future 🙏🏾
