💜🎱EIGHT YEARS IN AISLE EIGHT 🎱💜 Today makes EIGHT YEARS since the release of our self-titled debut album!!! 🎉 We love each and every one of you who has supported us over the years, thank you!!! 💜 If you’ve ever been to one of ours shows, shared our music with a loved one, or even just streamed a song, you have been a critical part of our journey. The band started as a trio of @evngeo @tstonesmalones and @jason_abbott 👨‍👨‍👦 Our debut album was written and produced by those three, with the legendary @epicd99 (Evan’s dad) handling bass duties and the guru @seanwalkermusic on engineering! In early 2017, Hayden @masterbasser69 and Ariel @arieldeanda were added to the lineup. The chemistry between us all was instant and undeniable. It was then that In Aisle Eight came into its full form and we set off together. It has now been a week since my first ever solo show and my heart is still full 🫶 I truly cannot express enough how much it means to me to have had so many wonderful people come out to see the show. Old friends and new friends alike, I felt the love and support of my community. Thank you all! Of course, I could not have done it without my remarkable bandmates who were willing to dedicate so much time and effort into helping me with this set. They all contributed immensely to the sound of the set and absolutely crushed their performances. I’ve been making music with these fellas since I was a kid and I hope to do so till I die. Today marks one year since the release of downsize. by @oblereed This is a very special release to me as it marked my first time producing a song with the explicit intent of it being used by another artist. It was quite literally the first time I ever sat down and thought “I’m going to try to make a hip hop beat”. I wasn’t sure if anything would come of it, but I thought it sounded pretty cool so I sent it over to Oblé. We had a couple of sessions at good ol’ @studi8_ and Oblé did his thing on the track. Evan and I worked on the arrangement and did some additional production. Before we knew it, we had “downsize.”. Anyway, it’s been a year since the song dropped and it also surpassed 100,000 streams on Spotify a couple of months ago. Many thanks to everyone who has listened. Proud of this one! First of all, shoutout to @oblereed for believing in my production skills and writing a banger to my instrumental. This was the first released collab of ours, with many since and countless more to come. Shoutout to my dear friend and bandmate @evngeo for his additional production on the track and for mixing the hell out of it (while dealing with my extremely detailed and excessive mix notes lol). Extra love for always being so supportive and for inspiring me to get into hip hop production. Today marks 10 days until the most ambitious show of my life: A Night In Aisle Eight. For those who don’t know, on August 26th my band @inaisleeight will be putting on a mega show in which we will be serving as the backing band for every single artist performing that night. After the opening sets, we’ll be performing our own extra special headlining set that will include music from throughout our entire discography, as well as new unreleased songs and some never-before performed covers. There will be two opening acts, our immensely talented friends @esteelo__music and @yonnyftla - if you haven’t heard their music yet, you are missing out on some of the finest hip hop that Seattle has to offer. PLUS there will be some very special surprise guests! All this to say: if there were ever an In Aisle Eight show to make sure you go to, this would be the one. Above all else, this show will be a celebration of the wonderful community of musicians that we’ve been an integral part of for years now. The members of In Aisle Eight have made instrumental/vocal/production contributions to the projects of every single artist involved in this show. Through life’s many ups and downs, this group of creatives has gotten me through it all.
