I WROTE ANOTHA MOOOVIE! Been sitting on this one for a minute but so deeply thrilled to share that my “1990s time travel Nashville Christmas country music movie musical adventure”, A GRAND OLE OPRY CHRISTMAS will be airing this November 29th on Hallmark Channel. In 2018, I went to see the masterpiece A Star is Born and asked myself two questions. 1. Is Bradley Cooper single? 2. How can I make THAT? Only a few short days later I had absolutely no way of contacting Bradley but HAD cooked up a concept with a father/daughter story at its heart and music all around. Cut to 2024, when, after MANY pitch rejections, Hallmark took a chance. When months later I learned THE Grand Ole Opry was coming on board, I no longer cared if Bradley Cooper was single. After hundreds of hours of research, dozens of interviews, days of endless country playlists and hard earned writing…my REAL star was born. Then, to top it all off, sweet baby Jesus got even extra when he made sure my favorite @hogcity was cast as one of the LEADS. Grateful for all those who helped make this happen especially Don Cusic @belmontu for his incredible insight and @kpbarry32 for letting me pick his brain and hound his old Nashville crew for 90s country memories. Can’t wait to see @hogcity @polahaha @nikdeloach @bradpaisley @official.james.denton @labenward @sharonelawrence raise some dust on the Hallmark screen. P.S. And they keep on comin’! My latest script THE BEACH READ MURDERS is premiering August 29th on LIFETIME! While sitting by the ocean, reading my own beach read, I got to thinking about one of these spicy tales coming to life and pretty soon I had a script that did just that. If you’re into steamy thrillers with sand, sunsets and scandal as much as me then I implore you to watch! Not just to support your gal but to also catch one of my favorites @hogcity solve the crime and maybe even do so shirtless…or not…you’ll have to find out! And though I’m not currently shirtless, you can flip through to see the MOMENT of inspiration immortalized, and then the moment I told Rob he’d booked the job that looks a lot like us on @mistressesabc directed by our boy @mrjerryoc .
