In the fall of 2022, Theo Katzman brought us to Poland. We played a wonderful music festival in the countryside. We were treated with kindness, gratitude, and deep appreciation. After a week of exploring Poland, this melody struck me in a pizza place on our last night in Krakow- most of the chorus. I got home and finished the tune it in the coming months. It was the first song I showed Theo in pre-production & it became the catalyst for the whole YGTRI record. I am so thankful to Theo, these deep... beautiful friendships, and most importantly my Galician/Polish ancestors who lived fully, endured wholly, and did whatever they had to in their time to grant me mine today. Thank you.
