Established in 2020, All that Drawing was created to move beyond the commercial-centric art market and build a foundation where artists can drive their own change and growth.
In All that Drawing, ‘drawing’ is defined not merely as a preliminary sketch or technique for a finished piece, but as the fundamental act of painting and the broadest expression of mark-making.
This perspective allows for diverse experimentation that transcends the boundaries of genre and generation, enabling new modes of expression and expanding the possibilities of painting. Consequently, the exhibition facilitates intergenerational and cross-genre exchange, making art more accessible to the public. Ultimately, All that Drawing proposes a new, sustainable ecosystem for contemporary art — one that establishes a stable structure directly linking artists‘ creative practice with economic viability.
상업적 활동이 중심인 현, 미술시장의 구조에서 벗어나, 작가 스스로 변화와 성장을 이끌어갈 수 있는 중심이 될 수 있는 기반을 만들고자 2020년 첫 전시를 시작으로 만들어진 브랜드 전시였다.
세상의 모든 드로잉의 ‘드로잉’은 완성된 작품을 위한 사전 아이디어를 그리는 재료나 기술이 아니라 회화의 근원적 행위이자 가장 넓은 의미의 그리기를 뜻한다.
이는 회화에 있어서 장르와 세대의 경계를 넘어 다양한 실험을 가능하게 하며, 이를 통해 회화의 새로운 표현 방식과 확장 가능성을 만들 수 있었다. 따라서 본 전시를 통해 세대 간, 장르 간 교류를 활성화하고, 보다 편안하게 관객들에게 다가갈 수 있었으며, 나아가 작가들의 창작 활동과 경제 활동이 직접적으로 연결 될 수 있는 안정적인 구조를 만들 수 있는 즉, 현대미술의 새로운 지속가능한 생태계의 기반을 제안하고 있다.
