Packing up his possessions got me thinking about clues we leave behind for those who come next. got me off the fence about some internal fears and got me out of my own way about putting my work out there. So here’s a little gay clue for whoever needs it. this beast of a play expresses a chapter in my life that felt like living in a terrifying loop. I wrote it to keep myself alive at a time when life felt full of doom. But it also holds the hearts and talents of a hundred thousand souls who directly had a hand in building BBP, and those who indirectly had a hand in shaping me and how I see the world before I even existed. Thank you. glad to have lived long enough to have written this play, and the dedication. @kw.wilks and I felt strongly that this play asks more questions than it answers. BUT it is telling us that at the very marrow of this world we are interconnected. in the scary and the joyful ways all at once. Isn’t that amazing? thanks for reading and sharing and putting your own spin on it. OOOOOEEEEEEE! we could not be more hyped to start announcing our lead artists for the 2025 🌻 COMMUNAL SPACES 🍅 garden play festival at @moorejacksonnyc 🌼🐝🌳🐿 first up, we've got the force of nature that is @genzebeeb 🔥💧⚡ as a playwright, Genevieve Simon (he/they) centers queer people in magical worlds at the intersection of family, identity, and bodies of water. he is a 2025 @nyscouncilonthearts Commission Winner, a 2023-24 @newgeorges Audrey Resident, and a member of the 2024 @page73productions Writers Group. His climate-doom-comedy BLOOM BLOOM POW was a Finalist for the 2022 EMOS Ecodrama Playwrights Festival.
