The Machine Mavericks are so proud to announce that our incredible head coach Niall OâDriscoll has won the Ontario Provincial Championship Woodie Flowers Finalist Award! Niall has truly devoted himself to our team over the past four years. His ability to impart knowledge to his students and make them feel as though they themselves had discovered it is what truly sets him apart. He is intensely dedicated to creating the best FIRST experience for each and every member of the Mavericks community, creating specific opportunities that directly interest each student that also contribute to the teamâs overall goals. His long hours at the shop and willingness to go the extra mile, and then some, to educate and encourage his students, is truly inspiring. We had quite the roller coaster this past weekend at DCMP. We won, we lost, we broke, we repaired, we went unpicked, we played in finals. Overall it was a fantastic time getting to chat, learn and play with so many teams.

We were excited to have both of the turrets on and working though we learned our hopper needs work. We got to captain Alliance 7 and play some challenging matches with @frc_7476 and @grizzly_gears9580

Oops a bit late but better late than never...
What a rollercoaster Provincials was.
Day 1 we had what felt like nothing but bad luck.
Day 2 things were going well, our luck was better and we climbed more than we thought we would in ranking!
Day 3 we were so excited to be selected to part of alliance 3 with @celt.x.5406 and @frc2200 ! We had some close matches but unfortunately our bad luck came back when we got stuck on algea we couldnât see 2 matches in a row.
Provincials didnât go the way we had hoped but we still had a great time with amazing teams and plenty of friends!
It also meant we got to have a awesome Worldâs watch party at @bgcsoutheast with @mergerobotics2706 , @frc_eomlions , and @lakeeffect2708 cheering on all the Canadian teams!
Congratulations to all the teams on an amazing season and we canât wait to see everyone next year!
