We’ve loved having volunteers from Queen’s Athletics & Recreation spending time with kids at Rideau Heights and helping create such fun experiences for everyone involved. Grateful for this partnership and look forward to continuing to bring more opportunities like this to the kids in our programs.
💗 More than 133,000 menstrual hygiene products donated through this year’s Period Promise campaign are now making their way to local agencies and programs across KFL&A.
A heartfelt thank you to all the donors who contributed products, the volunteers who helped sort and pack donations, and the Community Food Redistribution Warehouse for providing space to support this important work.
These donations will help ensure people across the community can access essential menstrual products through local agencies and programs.

For 26 years, this campaign has been a powerful community tradition, raising over $1 million to support local kids. Today, the need is greater than ever. With record subsidy demand, rising costs, and growing needs around mental health and inclusion, more families are relying on BGC South East to provide safe spaces, meals, transportation, and opportunities to belong and thrive.
Our first feature of the month with the The Kingston Whig-Standard is now live, highlighting the impact of this campaign and the legacy behind it.
This year, we are working toward a record goal to help hundreds of children attend summer camp without barriers and continue accessing life-changing programs in their own community.
