Team 188 is officially Houston-bound for World Championships! We’ll be competing in the Hopper Division alongside some incredible Canadian teams that we’ll be rooting for. This weekend Team 188 headed south to Niagara Falls for the Ontario District Championships! After some rocky qualification matches and quick fixes by our pit crew, we joined Alliance 8 with @hhs4152 and @8089.rockway going all the way to Round 4! We also had the chance to see the Roly Anderson Memorial Scholarship be awarded in honour of our founding mentor Mr. Anderson, with his legacy living on throughout FIRST Canada. Thanks to the endless support of our staff advisors, mentors, and sponsors, we are grateful to say bundle up Houston ❄️👀.
A Blizzard hit Barrie this weekend! We had a great time at Georgian College playing our 2nd district event, winning the event with Alliance 1 alongside the autonomous award! We had such a great time at this year’s Durham College district qualifier, becoming district finalists with @wafflesrobotics@frc7480 as our alliance, alongside our driver Sarthak becoming a Leadership Award championship semifinalist!

Hey Woburn! We’re hosting our first workshop of the season, starting off with an Intro to FRC on Tuesday, November 4th. We’ll be going over competitive robotics, past games, and what FRC typically looks like. We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow!!☃️🤖
