BCR Blackout had an incredible experience at the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston, Texas! We competed in the Milstein Division and finished with an 8-6-0 record, an EPA of 191.4, and seeded 20th overall. We were also incredibly honoured to receive the Rising All-Star Award. 🏆 More than anything, we’re grateful for our community. This season and this trip would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, families, mentors and volunteers. Thank you for being part of this journey and helping give our team members an experience they’ll never forget! We’re so proud of everything this team accomplished together!

That's a wrap on the McMaster University Competition! Thank you to our playoff alliance, our fearless captain @frc2200 , and unrelenting rookie @frc11362 . Together we fought our way through the playoff brackets, winning even when the odds were against us, eventually reaching the finals where we claimed silver🥈 Congratulations to the event winners @frc2056 , @frc1114 , and Team 9062. All the best at your next events, and we look forward to meeting again at Provincials. #omgrobots #firstatmac #firstcanada #firstroboticscanada #yrnews

This weekend, I’ve traded leashes and training floors for bleachers and team spirit. For the past 4 years, FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2200 Blackout has been a big part of our family’s life… and this season is no joke. Long days, late nights, and more coffee than I care to admit ☕️ Watching my kids show up, work through challenges, support their team, and stay committed through it all… it’s something I’m really proud to be part of. They’re competing this weekend at McMaster University and I’m fully in “mom mode,” cheering them (and their incredible team) on. Behind the scenes, this is a big part of my world too 💜 If you’ve got a second, drop some support for Team 2200 below 👇 #proudmom #firstrobotics #team2200 #blackout #lifebehindthescenes

After months of hard work, dedication, and learning, we made it all the way to the FRC World Championships in Houston, Texas — something we are so proud of, considering Burlington Community Robotics didn’t exist this time last year! At Worlds, we had the honor of competing alongside some of the best teams from around the globe. After a tough set of qualification matches, we finished ranked 2nd out of 75 teams and were finalists as captains of Alliance 2 in the Hopper division — a huge milestone for our first year as a new organization! Beyond the competition, it was amazing to connect with teams from around the world, share ideas, and build friendships that will last far beyond this season. This trip showed us just how much potential our community has, and it motivates us even more to continue growing BCR. We can’t wait to expand this program and create opportunities for even more students to discover their passion for STEM, teamwork, and innovation. Thank you to everyone who supported us on this journey — this is just the beginning!
